Spin to Knit

Yes, Shannon came, and she did give me a spinning lesson, and I did take a video of it… but I’m on the verge of thinking the video is waaay to boring to put here on the blog. (Especially, since I didn’t really get the hang of the wheel in the 10 minutes or so we spent playing with it).

However, Shannon, not only demonstrated her superior spinning skills, she also brushed and spun CALLIE my fuzzy puppy that you see in the background. Callie’s fur is extremely soft, and if there were enough of it, I think it would be great to knit…

Who knew?

She has that Ashford Joy I so desire. Can I ask you to ask her, does she prefer the single treadle to the double-only asking because everyone I have “talked” to suggested getting a double treadle-just being nosy.

    Hey Amy,

I just got your comment you posted on my blog over two weeks ago. For some reason it got snagged by the spam filter. Sorry! You were asking about my mannequins. My fiance Larry bought both that one and my black one on Ebay. They came together as a set. I believe they still sell them on Ebay. Happy hunting!

    Hey Deneen!

Personally, I prefer the single treadle because I have a tendency to go WAY too fast on a double… a lesson learned from my first wheel, an Ashford Kiwi (which are double-treadled).

You really should spin for a while on both and see which YOU prefer…it is absolutely a matter of personal taste and not function. Thanks!
