We have a bit of a problem with stuff moving in and out of our house–there’s no entryway or coat closet, so stuff gathers by the door, and our dining room is become a mudroom–there’s no way around it… We have to find someplace to put things when we come in the door–backpacks from school, shoes, coats or swimming gear depending on the season, mail, etc. I’m constantly searching for elegant solutions, which is why I was excited to find Ivy today… Maybe I can somehow work this in as a birthday gift for myself…

We live in a very old house and have not one closet downstairs, with the exception of a spare room that was added on years later-no linen closet for the bathroom, no coat closet, no anything. We have a side door into the kitchen, where a pile a shoes grows with each passing day and the front door, which no one uses, but where a coat tree stands overflowing, as well as extra shoes-it’s truly awful and I don’t see a way out of it. The Ivy is neat, but I wonder how cluttered it would look once you really used it?
That’s really cool. Check this out http://www.momastore.org/museum/moma/ProductDisplay_Hand%20Hook_10451_10001_33933_-1_11548_11598_null_shop_
Obviously expensive but fun!
Oh, that is seriously awesome! Of course, now I’m trying to think of a way to do something similar to hand yarn….
