Thanks for reminding me about CARE, Barbara. I think that the Red Cross is
there too. That's amazing that the Fairfax County Search and Rescue team is
there. Take care.

Good for you!
We sponsor a little boy in Haiti through World Vision and are so worried about him and his family as well as the other thousands so terribly affected by this awful disaster. World Vision is collecting donations on their web site to help send medical supplies, etc. to the people of Haiti. We have trusted their integrity for many years.
Blessings,
G

Thanks for posting this. Because I lived in the Dominican Republic, the presence of a very large Haitian community in Boston (as well as at my church in Silver Spring, St. Camillus Catholic Church), I have kept my eye on Haiti for years. I sent a donation to DWB yesterday. I plan to also send a donation to CARE as they are on the ground there, and there is a tremendous need for food. Haiti is what they call a "food critical" (not quite the exact term) nation - people are always only a couple of days away from risk of starvation. The Fairfax County Search and Rescue team arrived yesterday in Haiti.
