Oh My. That seems so polite.

Aside from the fact that this would look better on a garment that wasn’t already patterned, it speaks “edging for skirt” to me, not “yoke for tee shirt.”

It has that feel of “Look at me, I am crafty!” look that is not really what most of us are going for.

It’s stuff like this that gives crochet a bad name. However, I’ve seen things knit that are just as heinous.

The crocheted top part would look good if it was then crocheted down into a sweater or if you picked up stitches and knitted a top down raglan from it or something like that. However, that “blouse” underneath is wrong on so many levels. The stupid bead orange necklace with it is ugly. The cuffs just don’t go, but again if it was attached to a knitted or crocheted sweater it wouldn’t look bad at all.

not sure if you’ve already been to youknitwhat.blogspot.com, but check it out if you have time to read hilarious commentary on, um, creative-but-misguided fiber arts. Berroco seems to lead the pack in unusual fashion choices, and it’s nice to see that knitted pieces can be just as wayward. enjoy!
